ive come to the FFXIclopedia many times but never really viewed the forums. well work today was kinda boring so i decided to browse the server forums. and see who all visited and has posted. Soooooooo lets see who all responds so we can get a head count of people who visit this forum.

How old do you have to be to be considered 'old school'. Did you have to walk both to and from jeuno, uphill, barefoot, and in the snow to get your chocobo license? I guess I don't count as old school then, I had shoes.

na being classified as Old School. i guess would be listed as a few of the following things

1. pc launch
2. ps2 launch
3. the victim of a nest crawler train
4. learning what marchalude (whm af 1nm) could do to the dunes if let loose.
ect.

as for walking to jueno up hill both ways barefoot. now come on you know a true old schooler had to walk on his hands because we didn't want to get our feet dirty.

Well I have a few fond memories of 3, also one of a single dark knight who killed an entire train while everyone with heal cured him as much as we could. Also rumble crawlers and scorpions at the entrance. Fun times. I also remember times when GC was shut down for hours due to too many bats and a skele or two near the entrance that the 'high levels' (40's) couldn't kill.

As to 4. I may have caused this at least once or twice myself. Somewhere I have pics of when a few of us trained marchy to the highlands entrance.

PC launced in Oct of 03 i think. I started playing in Feb of 04... I DO remember many many crawler trains though Also... #4 happened...a lot. He'd often end up all the way over at the Lathine zone.

yea i remember him walking back thro and one shotting everyone in his path lol. i have pictures of me dead some were and im in the background just mass raping everyone .

I usually glance at the forums, but the Diabolos server forum is pretty dead...not much activity usually.

Played for a couple of months on PC launch, then restarted at Xbox launch.
